Help navigating the yahoo movies summer movie guide???? These are the black pages that are like special yahoo movie sites seperate from the regular sites for movies that yahoo does. Everytime I go there I find it very difficult to find anything on what the teasers for the web page advertise. I rarely have trouble navigating through any web site. I am the guy at work and my house who many come to for help with computers/internet. Yet, these special yahoo movie sites seem to be hiding all the information. For example, I clicked on the article about the Hulk which is linked from yahoo's main page. Both the first page and the link to the page promise to go into depth about many interesting facts on the Hulk phenomenon. On the first page they provide another link but once you click it you are on a page where none of the info they promised can be found, nor any link that takes you to that info. The same thing is true of another yahoo sum. mov. guide on Indiana Jones? Whats up with that?
Make Movie Over Summer, I Need Help!!!!? Hi, ok first off i would like to say i am a really big movie fan. I am currently 15 and love pretty much any type of movie; action, drama, comedy, suspense, horror, etc. For this summer, i thought i basically would start a "project" that i can work on throughout the summer. The project i was thinking of was creating a movie. I have a pretty basic digital video camera but i dont really have much knowledge on video editing, special effects, and all other movie stuff. Plus i need help with an idea about the movie. So i was hoping i can get some suggestions and ideas on what to do and also if there are any good websites out there for beginners that may guide me along my way. Thanks!
Should I work on my Summer Project or watch a movie with my dad today? I have this really important summer reading project where I have to read Jane Eyre and then write an essay about themes and answer questions and make a study guide. And I'm only on page 20. Then I have to finish my study guide for The Prince and write an essay along with it. I only have a week and two days to finish this project! (Don't worry, I haven't been procrastinating the entire summer, there were other books I had to read as well.) But today my dad asked if I would like to see a movie today (Sundays my mom is really busy working so my dad and I are planning on doing things.) But I'm super stressed about my project and I don't want to end up finishing the project the night before school starts. The project is due the first day of school and I just don't know if it's okay if I go see a movie with my dad or if I should work on my project today...? Help? Thank you! @Tailsman: LOL. My dad was actually wanting to see The Expendables. Hahaha and my mom was like, "Um, I don't think that's the type of movie for her...." Haha that's so funny that you said that. XD
Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy book and movie..? This book is for my summer reading in 9th grade... I read the book, but when I read summaries for the movie, the middle part at like nothing in common with the book. Did I read the book right? Did Trillian get captured by Vogons in the book? Did they encounter Vilbodle in the book?? WHAT IS HAPPENING!?!?! I really need to know about the book or else I'll get a bad grade right from the start of 9th grade. Thank YOU ALOT IF YOU ANSWER! So the movie is based on all the books? So the movie is based on all the books?
How do you contact Yahoo to tell them that they have a mistake in their web page? I was in the summer guide thing they have and in one of the movies...Final Destination 4 it says is the fifth installment of the movies. They should get their facts straight.
Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Question? I just recently finished reading the book The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams and I have to write an essay for my summer reading project in school. I read the entire book and didn't really understand it that much so I figured that I would rent the movie so I can answer any questions that i have. Are there any differences between the book and the movie? I dont want my teacher to think that I didn't even read the book (which I did). Thanks
Summer reading book selection? I'm going into high school next year. It's one of those specialized "career academies" that focuses on a singular topic while still getting the regular curriculum on a higher level then a normal public school. The school I'm going into focuses on Biotechnology. Anyway, I have to read three books in three different categories. Classics: The Good Earth Pearl S. Buck The Three Musketeers Alexandre Dumas The Once and Future King T.H. White The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes Arthur Conan Doyle Gods, Heroes, and Men of Ancient Greece H.D. Rouse (In this category, I'm leaning toward The Good Earth. Your opinions are valued though.) Contemporary Classics: The Secret Life of Bees Sue Monk Kidd The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Douglas Adams A Tree Grows in Brooklyn Betty Smith Night Elie Wiesel The Ditchdigger's Daughters Yvonne Thornton & Jo Coudert The Road to Dune Frank Herbert (In this category, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and Night sounds interesting, but again, I want your opinions) Biotechnology, Chemistry, Research: My Sister's Keeper Jodi Picoult Ender's Game Orson Scott Card The Hot Zone Richard Preston Next Michael Crichton (Next sounds fascinating and I saw the movie to My Sister's Keeper and it was pretty good and the novel may be even better, so...tell me what you think...) EDIT: I have to read one book from each category.

Help on Lorenzo's Oil Questions.? I only have 3 questions left on my summer guide. I have watched the movie twice and still don't understand these questions. 1. How did Augusto use modeling (paper clips) to solve a scientific problem? What did his dream help him understand? 2.Where was the myelin research being done? What was the experiment? How could this research help Lorenzo? 3. What was Augusto Odone's plumbing example used to explain? How do analogies often help us understand a scientific problem? Thanks for taking the time to help me.

Can you give me some feedback on this movie idea? The following is an outline for a movie I plan to make this Spring/Summer. I already have a screenplay in the works, but now I'm beginning to wonder if the conflict is big enough for the movie... What do you think? Is the problem big enough? If Juniors could win superlatives, Jake Callihan would be voted ‘“most likely to succeed.” Between his father’s high expectations, and his own ambition to do well, Jake has worked non-stop his entire high school career, earning him high respect amongst his classmates and his teachers. Not only does Jake get excellent grades, but he manages to balance his after-school time between work, baseball and of course, partying with his friends. His high standing in his school classifies him as a popular jock, and while he may deny it, this is a dead-on description of Jake. But while Jake Callihan may seem like an extraordinary kid, his life is far from perfect. This is because of his demanding father, Mr. Callihan. Mr. Callihan isn’t necessarily a bad person; he just wants to see his son do well, and being a baseball-obsessed father, Mr. Callihan is relying on his son to earn a scholarship for playing the sport. But his strict methods are costing Jake his childhood. It’s the last day of Spring Break, and after coming home late from a party with his best friend, Chris, Jake is lectured yet again by his father. Afterwards, Jake returns to his bedroom, where he lies in bed, staring at what he feels to be his only true friend; His guitar. A few miles away, a girl sits in her room with her keyboard on low, playing a melody that creates the theme surrounding Jake’s depressed mood. Her mother walks in, and suggests she goes to bed, considering tomorrow is her first day in a brand new school. With Spring Break being over, it’s back-to-work for Jake, who stays after school for classes and works overtime to earn a bad pay at his job in a local restaurant. His friend Chris, who may not be the brightest kid, is still aware that Jake is overworking himself, and convinces him to come to a bon fire at his house the coming Saturday Night. Jake agrees, but it doesn’t stop him from still working hard through the rest of the week. He stays after school for extra help one day, and after going over his study guide with his teacher, gets his stuff and walks toward the front of the school. Not looking forward to going home, he walks slow, and it’s when he passes the music room that he stops dead in his tracks. Jake hears the most beautiful voice he’s ever heard. He looks through the window in the door, but to his disappointment, the lone girl in the classroom, whom he hears singing and playing piano, is just cut off through what he can see in the slim window. He dares not disturb her by opening the door, so instead sits outside the room for a moment or two, listening to her create music that sets him into an unbreakable trance. He goes home, and in that unbreakable trance, develops a strong determination to figure out the song he heard on his guitar. When his dad comes home, he finds Jake lying in his bed playing guitar. His homework isn’t finished, he hasn’t worked out, and he hasn’t done his chores. In his disappointment, Mr. Callihan forbids Jake from playing his beloved guitar, unless permitted, which Jake knows would be rare. As a response, Jake brings his guitar to school, where he can play in peace after classes. Just like the day before, but in vise-vera, this mysterious girl sits in a classroom, receiving extra help from a teacher, and is in awe when she hears what seems to be, a guitar... playing the song she wrote. ‘My imagination,’ she decides, and goes back to work. After a quick week, Saturday arrives. Jake has a baseball game, but rushes to Chris’s house, where he relaxes with some of his friends, and even meets a couple new people. One girl, a Sophomore, stands out to Jake. He remembers hearing that she was new to the school, and wonders how she got invited to the bon fire. He is formally introduced to her by a friend of his, Megan. “This is Amber,” she says to Jake. Despite an ironic feeling that they have already met, the two go through the night unaware that they have already entertained each other with their music. They talk, and get along well. Chris brings out his guitar after it gets dark, and all of Jake’s friends ask for a little something from Jake. Enjoying the attention, Jake agrees, and begins to play the song that he heard after school by the mysterious girl... someone who is unknowingly five feet away. He plays the song, and Amber, unsure how to react, drops her jaw. ‘That’s my song!,’ she thinks to herself. Assuming the song is Jake’s, everyone at the bon fire congratulates him on writing what everyone agrees to be a perfect song. It’s not until Jake gets caught up in the moment and accepts credit for writing the song, that Amber stands up in disbelief and argues with Jake. She then walks away toward the woods, and drowned in embarrass and drowned in embarrassment and shame, Jake runs after. The two have a moment alone near the woods where he apologizes mercilessly and manages to regain his new friendship status with someone who he already is beginning to feel strongly about. This girl that Jake meets is Amber Brown, a girl who moved to Jake’s town just a week ago, and began attending school after Spring Break. A girl from a wealthy family, Amber also seems to be a lucky person. Everyone thinks her life is great, just as they do with Jake. But after becoming good friends, Jake sees through the fake smiles and the forced laugh, to find a troubled girl, who seems to see nothing in herself. Time goes on, and Jake and Amber have created an intimate relationship. The two play music together whenever their schedules allow, and they both write and play music that astounds both themselves, and those who take the time to listen. The thing that Jake and Amber like about each other, is the fact that they live completely di The thing that Jake and Amber like about each other, is the fact that they live completely different lives, but both seem to be the same “lucky type” to every person who judges them at first glance. Playing music together, Jake tries to show Amber just how talented she is. Amber begins to build a sense of self confidence. One day, while in school, Jake sees a flyer for his school’s annual talent show. He pulls it off the wall, and puts it in his binder. He shows it to Amber and the two decide to enter. At one point, Jake tells Amber a bit about his life. His interest in baseball, his father, his job. He mentions that his father has taken every nickel he’s made, and put it in a bank account for when he’s older. But Amber notices that Jake always has money on him. She asks him where he gets the money, and instead of telling her, Jake shows her. He drags her into New York City, with his guitar case on his back. Amber, wondering what Jake could possibly be doing to make money in the city, giggles and laughs as she demands to know where they are going. Jake brings her to Central Park, where he finds a nice spot on the side of a path. He opens his guitar case and puts it by his side, takes out his guitar and starts playing. Laughing, Amber is in disbelief. She’s almost embarrassed to be with him, but she thinks it’s cute. The day goes on, and occasionally, a person will put a dollar bill in his guitar case. By the end of the day, Jake has 37 dollars and 47 cents in his guitar case. “It’s not much after paying for the train, but it’s fun to do every once in a while,” Jake says to Amber. A few days later, Jake is at a baseball game, playing first base. He makes a great play, and after, notices a man talking to his dad in the bleachers. After the game, Mr. Callihan tells Jake about the man. “That man was a scout,” he tells Jake. “That man was a scout,” he tells Jake. A scout who thinks Jake might have what it takes to play for Duke University. After watching several of Jake’s baseball games, the scout talks to Mr. Callihan with the offer of a lifetime. An entire Summer, practicing and working with the Duke baseball team. This opportunity raises Jake’s chances of a career in a professional baseball league about 100 times. Excited, yet sad to be leaving his home for an entire Summer, Jake calls Amber, and tells her the good news. But this news goes from good to bad, when Amber reveals to Jake, that her family will be moving by the end of the Summer. The two realize that they have until the end of the school year, then it’s good-bye. The question dominates Jake’s thoughts; Summer with Amber, or Summer on the road? It’s early June, and the two have been practicing hard over the past couple months. The talent show is Friday night, and the two get together one last time the Thursday before to practice. But when Jake goes to Amber’s house, he can feel that something is wrong. He notices Amber’s mom crying, a deathly silent and awkward mood dominates the atmosphere. Amber, although also visibly depressed, ignores her mother and brings Jake down into her basement, where she brushes him away when he asks what’s wrong. The two practice. The sound amazing. After practicing for a few hours, they decide they are ready, and Jake decides he should be going home. He walks outside to his car, but Amber follows him out, saying he doesn’t have to leave. Jake figures it wouldn’t hurt to stay a little longer, so he sits on the curb, and they have a talk. Jake asks Amber why her mother was crying, and after hesitating, she tells him her secret. “Have you ever lost something irreplaceable,” she asks. Thinking hard, Jake realizes he hasn’t. He realizes he’s been very lucky. Amber comes out, and tells Jake what happened. “Today is my sisters birthday,” she tells Jake. It turns out, Amber had an older sister. A smart, popular, pretty girl, just like Amber. They had a strong relationship, and with extremely demanding parents, the two turned to each other for comfort. But then things took a bad turn. Amber’s sister, Leah, would begin to skip dance lessons, and not show up for dinner. She’d ask Amber to lie for her when her parents became suspicious. Little did Amber know that the stress brought up on her by her parents to succeed was too much for Leah, and she would soon die of a drug overdose. Telling Jake the story brings Amber to tears. He tucks her head into his chest and hugs her. She finds a sense of comfort and trust in Jake that reminds her of the closeness she felt with her sister. Amber tells Jake that it was only in March when her sister died, and being it was extremely hard on everyone in the family, they decided to move, which explains why Amber came to this town, and why Jake always felt something was wrong. He comforts her, and after a long and heartfelt talk, Jake looks at Amber. She looks at him. A long awaited kiss occurs, and from there on, no more words are necessary. Jake leaves, and before they know it, the day of the talent show finally arrives. The two meet up at the school an hour before to set up. Excited and nervous, the two wait together in the music room, where they talk and laugh and take advantage of the short time they have left together. Then they go into the auditorium to help set up. It’s 7:45, and the auditorium is filling up. Jake and Amber are dreadfully nervous, but they know they will do good. Then the show begins, and after countless acts; some good, some bad, the time arrives for a final performance from a Mr. Jake Callihan, and a Ms. Amber Brown. Their song astounds the crowd, and they leave the school afterward with compliments and comments praising their performance. They leave together, and they decide to stop at the beach for a little. It’s late, and a street light manages to light up the view that Jake and Amber enjoy from the boardwalk. Leaning over the rails, looking out into the ocean, they talk. “I have to do this,” Jake says to Amber. “I have to go.” “I wasn’t expecting you to stay,” replies Amber. They both know that Jake leaving for the Summer would open up a door to countless possibilities. “We’ll always be friends,” he says to her. “Never like this though,” Amber says back. It’s in this setting, that the movie ends, with both Amber and Jake knowing they still have until the end of June to finish up their relationship. They hate to admit it, but they both know it’s just a high school relationship, and that’s all it could ever be. The End A Ryan Hutchins Film
What are some good PG Or G movies? Im a volunteer at a summer camp and I have to bring in a Pg or g movie for kids at preschool-7th Grade It cant have a lot of sexual parts in it and it cant be very scary (Little kids are scared of some of movies). One time a volunteer brought in the movie "Hitchikers Guide To the galaxy" and they had to cancel the rest of the movie because the preschoolers and kindergardners were scared.
Would Canadians watch this American movie? The movie will be called "It's not that cold here, really." and it will be an American comedy produced by ME! The movie will be about a dumb American gangster from New Jersey who decides to leave his gang town and visit a more peaceful place called....Canada. He decides to travel to Toronto in mid-July and his family talks him out of it telling him "it's VERY COLD in Canada, it's a freezing cold country!" So he rebelliously drives to New York/Ontario border with 16 North Face jackets, a survival kit, a battery generator to heat the car, a 4-week supply of emergency food, a portable stove, 16 containers of mosquito repellent, a hunting knife. And a guide to survivng Polar attacks in the arctic wilderness. And emergency bottles of water, emergency toilet paper, for his summer trip to Toronto, Ontario. He's an idiot. He gets to the Canada border and they ask him where he's going!!!! He says "Toronto for the July weekend." Customs official: What have you brought here???? 16 jackets, emergency supplies, bear repellant???? Guy: Because my friend said it's FREEZING COLD in Canada. Customs official gets skeptical because he thinks perhaps this guy is planning to stay the winter, either that or hide out. And overstay his welcome and not plan on leaving the country. They keep him at the border for a few days. The guy starts USING his survival kit food and water to feed himself while sitting in the immigration customs office. Just to give him what he asked for, they purposely put the AC on 10 degrees celsius so he can freeze inside the immigration and customs building. He ends up being held over in the border office until the weekend is over, so they tell him to make a U-turn and USA customs will take it from there. They say "I hope you enjoyed your stay. Next time, do some research before you plan a trip to Toronto." It would be pretty funny. Or you can make it where they do let him into Toronto and then it just so happens the city experiences a black-out like a few summers ago, and the guy thinks it's ALWAYS like that You know? I've been in MANY Canadian cities. Intentionally, the last place I want to visit in Canada, after I see all the other provinces including the maritimes, is TORONTO. Isn't this fascinating? See everything except Toronto, and then Finally.....Toronto. Edit Dangerma: Definitely would put you in the credits. The thing though is going straight north by road, you can't go much farther than Kapuskasing. Or the road to James Bay. The only opportunity to drive FAR north is to go west of Edmonton. Unless of course you fly
hero's journey-- hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy? For summer reading for senior year we have to read a novel of our choice that has to do with a a hero's journey. I want to read just the first book of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. We have to take notes on our book and notice any similarities it has to The Odyssey (if any). We also have to compare the Odyssey to the movie O Brother Where Art Thou, but anyways, Do you think just the first book would have a complete journey or do I really (and I mean REALLY) need to read the entire series? Or are there any other hero's journey books (preferably not a series, so just one book) that would be easy but worth reading and at senior year level? (I like fiction like HP, Narnia, lotr, etc. but I want a journey in just 1 book, not spanning through a series)

Ahhh trying to find something to go with this outfit...? I just bought an A-line theory skirt that fades from an offwhite color (my mum calls it "oatmeal" haha) at the top to deep blue at the bottom. It's a beautiful skirt but I think it's a little big for me because it sits low on my hips :/ I'm thinking of altering it to come up to my navel, or to my waist, not sure which one. Anyway, I would like to wear it with these shoes: http://www.vancouversun.com/life/summer-guide/fashion-beauty/slice/shoeconomics/1620618/1620700.bin?size=620x400 only with a solid-color light wood heel. but I don't know what to wear on top. I'm a teenager, so I'd like it to lighten up this outfit so it's not too formal/old for me. The ideal outfit would let me go from the heat outside to indoors in freezing air conditioning since I'm going on a movie date =D

Guide to being a social butterfly? I'm not a very social person in general. Growing up, I didn't have much confidence. I was very shy up until around the summer of grade 11. Grade 12 was much better. I gained TONS of confidence and talked to a lot more people in my classes. But, I'm still somewhat shy. I just don't really know how to do normal teenage things. Maybe I'm just not meant to do normal teenage things. I mean, I don't drink. I don't like the taste of the typical beer or vodka. I'd rather have a fancy cocktail at a restaurant, but I'm too young for that at the moment...I've never been to a house party. I just don't know of any. My friends aren't the type of people who go to house parties. We like to go out, but if we do, it's to concerts or out for dinner or to a movie or bowling or shopping. We don't go to house parties and drink or go to bonfires late at night...etc. I just started college on tuesday (a college without dorms in which you commute everyday) and I've been hoping I'll meet some interesting people there, but nobody is all that friendly. They basically do their own thing and go home. I just feel like I'm missing out on important things. I guess it's not really that important to go to house parties and drink, but everyone seems to reminisce about when they were young and having fun. I don't want to miss out. But, I don't know of anyone who has these types of parties. I don't know...I just feel like there's a lot I haven't done. Any tips for me?

Tantei Gakuen Q Live Action Episode Guide? I really like this series, so I looked up the live action. I started with a supposedly "Episode 1", but it was as long as a movie. So I was thinking it was the special. But then when I look up the "real" special, it's another different story. Clear up please? Supposedly "Episode 1" - They solve a murder of a high school girl that seems to follow the plot of a high school mystery writer's first and only published book, who died a month before. (It's an adaptation of the "Jack the Ripper" episode) Special - I haven't really watched it, but from the preview picture on Youtube, it looked like an adaptation of the "Kamikakushi Village" episode. I saw the first few seconds, and the teacher was talking to his class about them leaving junior high, and it's the start of summer. Sorry if it's not much information. I just don't want to start on the wrong episode (although it seems I already have TT^TT)

When is Tom Pelphrey coming back on 'Guiding Light'? I heard that it was this summer, but every time I google it, I can't find a date of his return. Have they not set it yet? And will that movie 'Spring Broke' that he was suppose to be in ever come out?
HP Fans: My letter to JK Rowling, opinions? I've written a letter for Michael Jackson, JLS, and JK Rowling. They don't stop! LOL It's not that great, I've written it in about an hour. Dear Ms Rowling, First and foremost, I want to congratulate you on your success in story-writing. The summer of 2007, you had everyone sucked into Harry Potter. In all the papers, all the headlines I would see 'JK Rowling' or 'Harry Potter'. I am so happy that my favourite author is so successful. I first started my Harry Potter collectection at the end of 2006, when I was twelve years old. I struggled, but I used to movies as a guide to help me understand. I believe it is impossible to grasp the idea and thrill the characters go through by watching the movies. I managed to finish the books up the the 'Half-Blood Prince' in May 2007. How impatient I was for the release of the final book. I was excited because I was finally at the same level as everyone else, none of us knew how it was going to end, and we were all going to find out together. I managed to complete 'The Deathly Hallows' in three weeks, and during those weeks, I would have dreams about Harry, Ron and Hermione. Sometimes, I wouldn't be able to sleep, I was worried and anxious about the three completing the impossible task. For those three weeks, Harry Potter was the only thing on my mind, and I snatched at any chance I had to read the book. I was so shocked at the deaths in the books, they were so unexpected, and I gasped when I read they had died, as I felt I began to know the characters like real people. Firstly, the death of Mad-Eye Moody.I still remember where I was when I read it, and once it has been mentioned that he had fallen of his broom, I snapped the book shut. 'Oh my God' I said to myself 'This is not real, i'm sure he is still alive'. Even though I knew it was true. I felt Mad-Eye Moody was one of the most powerful Aurors, and Harry's best source of defence. Then came the death of Dobby, this shocked me so much, he just saved Harry, Ron and Hermione, and was murdered. As Harry was paying his respects, I, also felt the need to thank him for his good duty. The death of Fred Weasley, I was asking myself 'Why did JK kill so many good people?' It hurt me most when Percy and Ron were crowding around his body, and his smile faded. From then on, I thought, the worst has happened, it can only get better, no more people can be killed. Then came the death of Severus Snape, I didn't know Voldemort would kill his 'loyal' Death Eater. When Harry went to the Pensieve, and we learned the truth about Snape, I was so shocked. After the 'Half-Blood Prince' I thought it was impossible Snape was not a Death Eater. I felt so much sympathy towards Snape, how everyone hated him, when he wanted the best for Harry. But, this was not the end of the murders at Hogwarts. Then came Lupin and Tonks. These two Aurors were so loyal and stuck by Harry, I gasped when I read this, and tears came pouring out of my eyes. Lupin and Tonks? They just had a baby together. I was upset, I didn't want to read on knowing how it would end for the others, however, I couldn't stop myself turning the pages. Your books are amazing. I am always reading on of your seven books. You imagination is beyond words, how you managed to create the whole idea of 'Harry Potter' is unbelievable. Having just finished reading 'The Deathly Hallows' for the second time, I wanted to point out when Fred talks about Voldemort on Potter Watch. 'He runs faster that Snape when he's confronted with shampoo'. I laughed for ages at that, and it still makes me smile thinking about it. Your writing is so creative and I am amazed at some of the ideas you come up with. What a great talent you have. 7/07/09 was the day I saw you, it was at the Harry Potter Premiere, I screamed your name for ages. I was so proud and happy was I so close to my favourite author, the one who made 'Harry Potter', richest woman in Britain. You deserve it all. Harry Potter will always be my favourite book, nothing will be able to top it, and I will never stop reading your books. Thank you for writing the books, and thank you for the movies. Reading Harry Potter, it has helped me with my vocabulary and grammar. I am proud to call myself a Harry Potter fan! FEEDBACK PLEASE =D TONKS - It was so sad when you died. LOL. Yes.. going to give the letter to JLS when I see them on tour =D
Has MoveOn Betrayed the Democratic Party? . Has MoveOn Betrayed the Democratic Party? With its full-page “General Betray Us?” ad in the New York Times, MoveOn.org has once again put itself at the forefront of the antiwar movement. And if past patterns are any guide, a number of Democrats are embarrassed, and even angered, by MoveOn’s actions but are afraid to reveal the true extent of their feelings. MoveOn simply has too much fundraising clout — and a fear-inducing inclination to attack Democrats who stray from the MoveOn line — for many in the party to take it on. Democratic leaders might be further embarrassed by a new email, headlined “Your dog can help end the war,” sent out by the leadership of MoveOn’s political team. The email asks members to attend a protest on Capitol Hill this morning preceding the testimony of Gen. David Petraeus. “Congress was fooled before by the White House’s ‘dog and pony show,” the appeal says. “We need to make sure they’re not fooled again. That’s why we’re hosting our own ‘Dog and Pony Show’ outside the Capitol Building right before Petraeus takes the stage for his testimony. We want to show Congress and the cameras that the American people aren’t buying the White House spin.” “We’re bringing real ponies, signs and a big banner that reads, ‘CONGRESS: Don’t be fooled, AGAIN!’ Can you make it — and bring your dog if you have one?” It seems unlikely that many top Democrats will be bringing pets. But the thing that should trouble party leaders is not that MoveOn is capable of silly stunts. It’s not even that MoveOn is capable of making slanderous comments about U.S. military officials. And it’s not that MoveOn is against the war in Iraq, which polls show many Americans believe was a mistake. Rather, MoveOn’s latest campaign is a continuation of a drive to oppose not just the action in Iraq, but the war on terror in general, and, in a larger sense, America’s use of military power in its own defense. MoveOn was founded in 1998 by a husband-and-wife team of Berkeley, California software developers named Wes Boyd and Joan Blades. Its original mission was to oppose the Clinton impeachment. In 1999, after the impeachment trial ended with Clinton’s acquittal, MoveOn moved on to defeating Republicans who had favored impeachment. It mostly failed in that effort, and soon after the 2000 elections found itself without a clear political goal. All that changed on September 11, 2001. At a time when polls showed a huge majority of Americans favoring military action against the terrorists who attacked New York and Washington, MoveOn put its energy into opposing the war in Afghanistan. Shortly after the terrorist attacks, Boyd and Blades circulated a petition that read, “Our leaders are under tremendous pressure to act in the aftermath of the terrible events of Sept. 11th. We the undersigned support justice, not escalating violence, which would only play into the terrorists’ hands.” At the same time, an activist named Eli Pariser, recently graduated from college, circulated a petition of his own, calling on George W. Bush to use “moderation and restraint” in responding to 9/11 and “to use, wherever possible, international judicial institutions and international human rights law to bring to justice those responsible for the attacks, rather than the instruments of war, violence or destruction.” Boyd and Blades were so impressed by Pariser’s work that they hired him; he now is a top MoveOn official. In recent years, MoveOn has sought to portray itself as the voice of what Pariser often calls the true American majority. For example, in the summer of 2004 MoveOn teamed with filmmaker Michael Moore to promote Moore’s movie Fahrenheit 9/11. The week before the film premiered, Pariser asked members to sign a pledge to see it during its first weekend; the point, he explained, was not simply to show support for Moore’s picture but to create the impression in the press that Fahrenheit 9/11 was the leading edge of a wave of anti-Bush anger sweeping the country. “We launched this campaign around Fahrenheit 9/11 because to the media, the pundits, and the politicians in power, the movie’s success will be seen as a cultural referendum on the Bush administration and the Iraq war,” Pariser told MoveOn members. “Together, we have an opportunity to knock this ball out of the park.” Several leading Democrats, including then-Sen. Minority Leader Tom Daschle, showed up at the movie’s Washington premiere. But the connection with MoveOn worried other Democrats. “You’ve got to reject Michael Moore and the MoveOn crowd,” Al From, of the Democratic Leadership Council, remarked, calling MoveOn’s members “elites, people who sit in their basements all the time and play on their computers.” Other critics noticed that MoveOn attracted a membership that was mostly white, well-to-do, far-to-the-left, and not entirely representative of the Democratic party as a whole. Now, with the “General Betray Us” campaign, those Democrats again face the question: Do they dare to cross MoveOn? Not long after the 2004 elections, Pariser famously said of Democrats, “Now it’s our party. We bought it, we own it, and we’re going to take it back.” The next few days could be crucial in determining whether he was right or not.
What are some really good young adult books? Hey I'm 14 and I adore reading but I'm running out of books to read and I want to find some new ones. Some of the books I like are the Private series by Kate Brian, The Twilight Saga, How to Teach Filthy Rich Girls, The Uninvited( sadly the book has NOTHING to do with the horror movie the uninvited), Uglies, Things Change, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Sisters In Sanity, Gossip Girl, The Summer I Turned Pretty, It's Not Summer Without You, the Gallagher Girls Series, Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan Boys, The Last Song, Just Listen and Pretty Little Liars. I would like to get into more of the thriller/horror books because I'm on my horror movie kick right now anything along the lines of what is in my list is okay. I really like books that are uncommon and not many people read but the people who do absolutely love it and also deep books that actually make you think.

is my story good so far? Nick Parker was the weirdest kid in all of R. Wood High. No one knew what the R stood for in R. Wood High, but it really wasn’t like anyone cared. Nick was the weirdest kid because he was obsessed with anything scary and anything related to horror. He loved vampires, werewolves, spiders, and anything like Texas Chain-Saw Massacre too. He was one kid who actually liked to be frightened. Nick had short, curly black-brown hair, and dark green eyes. He was somewhat tall, and “Alisha,” Nick called. “Look at this!” He was sitting on the couch, reading one of his horror magazines. Yes, there actually are people who print horror magazines. The magazines Nick had a subscription to were Horrific Events Over The Globe, Frightening Fantasy : An Amateur Explorer’s Guide, and Horror Weekly: Your one stop guide for horrific things everywhere!. Right now, he was reading Horror Weekly, which was his newest obsession. “What?” I said, annoyed. I was at my house when Nick decided he needed to get away from his three sisters. Nick was usually frustrated by his sisters, two younger twins and one older sister, who was in the last year of high school, and “couldn’t involve herself in other activities” because she was studying for some exam coming up. Nick usually put on a movie for his younger sisters, Bailey and Amber, and asked his older sister Whitney to leave her door open in case either of the twins needed anything. I was trying to watch Curtis Capers, a totally lame show about a boy named Curtis who solved mysteries. I only watched it because the guy who played Curtis was really cute, not to mention only fifteen, my age. Oh yeah, I forgot introduce myself. I’m Alisha-Camryn Brown, but everyone calls me Alisha or Aliss. No one calls me Alisha-Camryn. As if anyone wants to. I have blonde hair, which sometimes looks golden-blonde in the summer, and I have bright hazel eyes. Right now, I’m wearing short shorts that aren’t denim or anything, but they’re really cool; they’re plaid. I love anything plaid. I’m wearing a red T-shirt, to match my plaid shorts. Nick’s wearing a black T-shirt that says “We went to the Horror Festival in Lakeville” and on the back it says “ . . .and all I got was this T-shirt.” and jeans. Like I said, Nick is crazy for anything scary. He dragged me along to that Horror Festival. It was on Halloween, and instead of trick-or-treating, or at a Halloween party, we went to the Horror Festival. And guess what? It wasn’t even scary. The place was at a huge, empty yard, and it was a total dump. There were small time shows for “vampires” and “werewolves” to perform acts, like the one guy who dressed in a Dracula costume and started to randomly break dance. Nick ended up spending the rest of Halloween at my house, watching old reruns of his favorite scary show, Nighttime Wanderings. It was totally lame, if you ask me. It was about these kids who form a club, which meets after dark in the forest. They eventually start getting spooked out by some things in the forest, and try to find out whether it’s just some seniors pranking on them or if it really was the ghosts and spirits of the forest. “Look at this!” he said, pointing to something in the magazine. “Nick, I’ve already told you, I really don’t care about Bigfoot,” I said. “It’s not about Bigfoot!” he cried. “Bigfoot isn’t even spooky. It’s this! Look.” He shoved the magazine in my face as Curtis Capers went on to a commercial break. I sighed. “This better be good,” I muttered. “It is,” Nick assured me. “Just read it.” I read the piece of paper quickly, then my eyes got wide. I looked him and said “NO.” *******He was somewhat tall, and skinny. ******

Questions about London? Passed thru England enroute to Asia a few weeks ago & just fell in love with the place. So I am planning a trip to London next year (may even go later in the year), but have never been there before. Going for about 3 weeks with my 10yr old son on vacation. First question is where is the best area to stay that would have a lot of good shopping, browsing etc. My favorite passions are books & electronic/computer entertainment but shopping in general is what I am looking for. A nice reasonable hotel or alternative option to stay in that area would be good too. I am not focussing on the tourist attractions side of things as I plan on doing an organised tour when I get there for I am sure that they will be tours for sale there. So I will be visiting all those tourist attractions most likely as part of a group where a guide will be there to explain things. Second question. While shopping is good, I am also very interested in that quaint old atmosphere of England. So I would like to know of any places where that atmosphere is more evident. A small fairy tale town, a shopping area that is all quaint & delightful etc. Probably some kind of Diagon Alley out of a Harry Potter movie.where u can find rare or strange things to buy as I also like to collect weird things that are different. Also how to get there would be nice. Third question is what is the best time of the year to go. I have heard of the negative effects of the English weather so would like to avoid all (or most of) the cold, & fog & smog & rain. Commonsense tells me that summer time is best, but just want to be sure. How is October or November weatherwise? Any other suggestions as to other areas to stay, or just any other suggestions at all are welcomed. Thanks in advance.
Girl trouble and need some insight? I really like this girl Jessica a lot, Right now she is on spring break in new orleans on a mission trip that i didnt have enough money to go on. Right now she is shunning guys and not going on dates or anything and doesnt want a boyfriend until summer. She says she has to really get to know a guy before dating him which is understandable. She knows i like her a lot, and i have spent the last two weeks just about everyday with her either helping her with homework or just hanging out. She says she doesn't like to flirt at all and likes to be frank with people. When we are together, either laying on her bed watching a movie or just doing stuff, she pokes me and i usually poke her back in a friendly way. She also gives me hugs and sometimes plays with my hair. We can really open up with eachother and talk on a personal level. I don't want to be too clingy and she says im not which is great. I let her ask me to do stuff and i ask her as well. The thing i am most concerned about is when she is ready to start dating again, i want to be the one for her, i don't want to lose her to another guy. I asked her if she had many offers on dates and she said no. I'm pretty sure she isn't talking or hanging out with another guy like she is with me. Awhile back before we started hanging out a lot, i asked her if i had a chance or if there was another guy that she had her sights on and she said that "your a great guy, but there is this one guy i do kinda like but im not sure if anything is going to happen because of our school paths and views on relationships at the moment and if it does it isnt going to be for awhile." She has never mentioned this guy when we talk and i have a feeling that nothing is going on between them and that nothing is going to happen. When i asked her a week later about it, she said "idk, i just dont know, i'm not going to worry about that right now." Talking about the boyfriend situation. How do i continue to be friends with her but also guide this towards a relationship? I do not want to lose her to another guy.
What would you consider a nerd? Or, a nerd girl, more specifically, I suppose. I like to think of myself as a nerd. I mean, I'm a *huge* grammar nazi. I'm in all my school's accelerated programs (Challenge Algebra, Challenge Science, and Gifted. I'm sure if we had a Challenge English class, I'd be in that too). My favorite movies include Star Trek, and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I *ADORE* Doctor Who. I like Heroes. (The Office is another favorite, but it's not necessarily nerdy). I really have a thing for words (can't even explain this one. I have vocabulary books laying around my room. I just, like words). I love love love reading. I'm a bit of an introvert. I'm a nerdfighter (props to you if you know what that is. If you don't just ignore it). Granted, I don't get straight A's, but that's only because the homework we get assigned it fairly simply. And, I get bored quickly with simple things, so I can never really be bothered to do it /: I spend most of my life on the computer. During the summer, while other people were out with their friends, having fun, I spent it indoors, working on improving my typing speed, and coding (this was only really back when MySpace was popular). I take Advanced Computer Technology at school. And, I breeze through it. I'd say I'm rather computer savvy (my father is a computer programmer. I suppose I get it from him). I mean, I think I'm a nerd..right? Oh, and I've never had a proper boyfriend. Or any boyfriend at all, for that matter. Wanna take a guess as to why? .___.
what do you think about my writing? dnt have to read it all.just want to know wat another point of veiw thinks? I’m looking for the remote, I’ve checked under my bed, on the side of my bed, my closet, even in the least possible place it is, which is on my dresser. My sister says my room is like a black hole. Hell, sometimes I even think my house is like one. But, she is pretty much right I lose almost everything then finally clean my room and find it. My room is usually dirty but it seems like how dirty it is decreases after every clean. Like about a year ago it used to be random things, papers and clothes on my floor. After a couple cleanings and then getting it dirty there was just random things and clothes on my floor. Now to just clean my room I just put clothes away and vacuum. Then yippee, cleaning success once again. Finally I look under a few clothes that were just cleaned and brought in my room, and of course because it was going to be the last place before I give up, I find my remote. I lay on my bed and press the power button, one of those life shows are on about having eight kid. I always wonder why they do that, do they not understand that it could affect their kids in many ways when they grow up. I imagine having everyone in the world knowing when I started my period, got my first date, had my first kiss. It would just be uncomfortable. I mean if its just for the money, maybe I’d do it, but I’d feel really bad having a child who doesn’t know how to actually live with out a camera on them. But maybe they’ll like knowing that their pretty much famous. I suppose it’d be great pretty much growing up rich though. I used to think I want all the expensive stuff have all kinds of money. Thinking about it now though. I want a simple life. To have a nice place but not “whoa amazing” I want to have money to do what I want but not to have stuck up kids always wanting high class things. I don’t get why things even have to cost money, I mean we are all people, were all on this world. Shouldn’t it all just be free. Why should there be poor people sitting on the side of the road needing money. I don’t see the point. What I want to do with life should let me be in that category if I get a husband that will make pretty good money. I would like to do photography or journalism, maybe even write my own book one day. It probably wont happen though. I change the channel to TV guide. Wondering if I can find anything, after about to minutes its finally to the last channel. Nothing good or new that I want to watch is on. I press power on the remote. I pick up my phone an look at the time. Me and my dad are going to a football game soon, he’s going to actually watch it. I’m just going to hang out with my friend Brittany and then sleep over at her house. I don’t have any bags ready, I don’t need any I have everything there I need. Its only 4:15, I got home about 17 minutes ago. Time passes slow doing nothing. At my house we have a trampoline, That used to be what I was on all the time, then it got old so now I just pretty much do nothing except go out to peoples houses. I used to go to the movies and hang out with people all the time, but then last summer something horrible happened and it pretty much changed everything about me.

Critique my wedding vision? OK, so I have just about everything in place. I've got the dress picked, how I'll do my hair, etc. So now that I've designed the entire wedding I want to hear from people! I want to have a completely unique, unforgettable wedding, so I'm at a year to the wedding and want to be *done* with planning so I can relax and just pay for it over the next year! Please, if you don't know the meaning of something (because I've been in NM all my life, I don't know what people outside here are and aren't familiar with), feel free to look it up lol. Also, we're already legally married so you will see some different traditions and lack of certain concepts. For a hint of our personalities, feel free to go to http://www.myspace.com/tyedyegoddess. It's private so you can only see the front page but it's everything you need to know. I'll walk you through beginning to end... You have your invitation, which is here: http://www.somethingnewinvitations.com/img/pr/lg/lg_2183.gif . So you drive up to a 200-year-old restored adobe house late in the afternoon in August. After entering through the huge wooden doors and walking through the foyer, signing the leather and parchment guest book on the antique chest, you walk into the main room, with a kiva fireplace in the middle of the room (surrounded in summer blooms), saltillo tiling, and famous local artists' work on the walls ($20,000 pieces). You go out the wood and glass doors on the left to the huge backyard that wraps around to the back of the house. There's a huge tree that looks like something out of a fairy movie. There's a tall adobe wall (at least 8ft tall) surrounding the entire backyard, that has a full-length wooden gate to the back parking area) and has stringed lights along the top. The back of the house has two horno ovens. Along the left side of the house where you enter the backyard, there are scattered round tables with an aisle down the middle. On the tables are black linens and short rectangular vases holding dark purple hydrangeas. The vases are filled with crystals, with purple LED lights in the crystals to illuminate them. There are votives, bearded iris buds, and small purple flowers in the center. An usher guides you to your seat, and once everyone's seated, you look up front. There's a small dark wooden stage with a lighted arch decorated in scattered dark purple blooms and lights. There's a quartet to the right of the stage, that is playing the Glasgow Love Theme from Love Actually, and a couple other classical light pieces. They then start playing The Painted World from What Dreams May Come (http://www.imeem.com/drag0niizz/music/v4xB8NZL/michael-kamen-the-painted-world/ if you don't know it), while people begin walking down the aisle between the tables. You can hear with music changes that at first it's the groom who walks his mother to her seat, then walks up to and stands on the stage. Next is the maid of honor/best man, then all the bridesmaids and groomsmen paired up, then while the cute sweet singsong part is going the flower girls (older gals, my sisters) and ring bearer, then at the big swell at almost 3 minutes I enter and walk down the aisle accompanied by my mother, wearing this: http://demetriosbride.com/us/collections/blue/highres/B141%20FULL_U8L8832cymk.jpg (I'm not a skinny girl and this picture doesn't do it justice... it's got gorgeous beading!). I've got a bouquet made up of purple calla lillies, purple hydrangeas, a couple bearded iris buds, and some scattered baby's breath. I'm wearing my hair down but held behind my shoulders in curls, and I'm wearing a short tiara with a fingertip-length veil edged with swarovski crystals. The groom is in a zoot suit, and the groomsmen are in 3-piece black suits with purple accents. The bridesmaids are in this dress: http://www.dessy.com/dresses/bridesmaid/d405/#LineList=7&attributeMask=33&catid=1&displaytype=GridMedium&activePage=1&rpp=9&SortOrder=BridesmaidLineDefault (in aubergine), and have either silver or black accents (black for maid of honor). The maid of honor and best man lead the ceremony, explaining we're here to celebrate an existing marriage and bond, and each does a reading. The bridesmaids and groomsmen each take turns sharing readings or whatever that they've picked out. Then, we renew our vows to each other, and replace our current rings (we have rings now but want to give each other our "permanent" rings at the ceremony). As silly as it sounds, I think it'd be cute to have the wedding party get everyone in the crowd to say "you may kiss the bride". Kiss, and the quartet starts playing the traditional recessional (from Midsummer Night's Dream originally), and we have the traditional recessional. We go into the front of the house and around to the backyard behind the adobe wall for some initial pictures with the sunset. The reception starts at sunset, and is a combination between indoors and outdoors. There's kid-style finger foods, everything from mozzarella stick
I'm going on an Africa-tour, any advice? So this summer, I've decided that im going to go on an africa-tour. Im sick and tired of people going on eurotours, it is becoming to unoriginal and pretty much everyone I know has done it (and they even made a movie about it). Poeple have NO appreciation for african countries and I think that just because economically they are less fortunate than europe (DUE TO EUROPE from hundreds of years ago) that shouldnt discourage people from visiting all the wonderful sites africa has to see, So I've already decided the top 5 african countries that I want to see are south africa, egypt, kenya, somalia, and swaziland, and i might make a pit stop at ghana, namibia, congo, uganda, mali, and central africa republic if i have enough time/money; i hope to have a wonderful time and i want to experience the culture first hand, as in i dont want ANY tour guides to spoil the trip for me Do you guys know any great locales in any of those countries i've mentioned that would be great to see while im there? THANKS!!!

What do u think of my book's first chapter? It is a bit short, but i just want to know if it is any good. PLEASE read it! It would mean a lot. The book is supposed to be about two sisters, Hailey and Emma. They are going to spend their summer together, by the sea side before Emma leaves for college. Here, Hailey falls deeply in love with Nicholas, only to find out in the end that he is leaving to England, as well. So she finds herself torn between the loss of both her sister and the love of her life. And the first chapter: 3…2…1… - Hailey! Hailey! Wait up! And… here we go again. Beth. Chasing me down the school hallway for who knows what she needed this time. Beth. My worst enemy. Except that I couldn’t just ignore her or snap an ending line right in front of her face, like they do in these teen movies. Why? Because she was my mother’s best friend’s daughter. Ever since I was old enough to obey her commands she assigned me as her “personal assistant” . I flinched at the sound of her Prada heels cracking on the concrete. - What now, Beth? I’m seriously not in mood for you today! Besides don’t you have some art project you were supposed to finish? - Well, that’s exactly what I want to talk to you about. You know how I absolutely LOVE the way you draw. So I was thinking… - Ugh! This is it! I’m not Cinderella, ok? And I’m not gonna let you ruin my life with your little problems! I don’t like you, and you don’t like me so please, leave me alone once and for all! Hmm… I didn’t know what was it with me that day. I never came out like that. I’ve always been the relaxed, shy girl, that never got in any kind of trouble. And I guess the whole school figured that out. Before I could say another word, everyone was gathered around us as if they were waiting for us to start a fight. I took a deep breath and... slowly walked away, trying to ignore the mocking whistles behind me. It was three days before my final exams, and this was not going to ruin it for me. The rest of the day passed in quite a rush. The final days were so busy, that everyone was hurrying to get to class, library or to check their notes one last time. When I got home I found my sister waiting in front of the house, resting on the stairs. She seemed amused. Distressed. Which is so not her. From how I know Emma – and I know her to the core – she would be screaming or crying , totally stressed, complaining about how much work she has to get done. Especially since she was applying for college. But not today. I looked at her puzzled. - What’s wrong, Em? You look happy, I teased. - Ha! Unbelievable! Can’t I just be in a good mood, without you being suspicious that there’s something wrong? She snapped - Whoah! Slow down! I’m just making fun of you. So , why don’t you tell me what’s the reason of your , what’s the word? Overly striking joyfulness? She tried to look casual, but I could see a crooked smile slipping down the corner of her mouth, like a 5 year old child’s, that was trying to hide a stolen candy from his mother. - Ok, ok. If you’re sure that you have nothing to tell me… and I flashed my eyelashes at her. - Oh, just get in the house! I’m older, you’re supposed to listen to me. God! What happened to the good old times when you would do what I say? - You’re such a pain! - I love you too! I got into my room laughing. I knew she wouldn’t keep the secret for too long. She was always so eager to tell some good news. I cast myself on the bed and picked up a magazine. The February 2009 issue. The headline: “10 tips on how to make a kiss PERFECT”. It’s funny that anyone should need that. I mean, I’m not an expert or anything – and you don’t want to know about my previous relationships, correction relationship – but shouldn’t it just come to you naturally, without using a picture-attached guide? But then again, why was I surprised? That’s what teen magazines are all about. How to survive through teenage hood. That’s mainly the reason I’m reading them. I find them very amusing, and the best part is watching all those girls hiding in the bathrooms reading the “x rated” articles, hoping they would actually find something useful. And of course, there is always the gossip section which I can’t allow myself to miss. Although I think it’s cruel to follow people around, waiting for them to do something stupid, it is one of the best ways to keep me entertained. I had almost fallen asleep, when I heard a slight knock on the door. - Come in! - What are you doing? - Um… just reading some magazine. Where did your mood go all of a sudden? She threw a quick laugh. - I don’t know, I guess I just got bored. This city is so not interesting! - Huh, I know. So, what do you wanna do? - I don’t know, watch a movie, maybe? - Oh, yeah there’s this new comedy I really wanna see. If on Btw, the book is called " Summer... a dream that lasts forever"
What are your 3 worst movies? Mine would be: The Hitchikers guide to the Galaxy The Englishman who went up the Hill but came down the mountain I know what you did Last Summer
Is my boyfriend trippin!?! =(? Ok, so here's the deal... I think I'm currently in a relationship with a emotionally unavailable man. I mean, we've been together for a year and a half and it seems like from the start, I've been guiding our entire relationship. So, last summer he wasnt really working. His mind was basically on the "grind" trying to find ways to get money. Now, I understand we all go through hard times but I was still around even when he couldnt put some effort into us. Now days (this summer) he's working. He has a great job in the music industry and he's ALWAYS busy. Don't get me wrong, I love a man that's driven but...know how to do both! If you want to be in a relationship, you have to incorporate it with ALL your other obligations, duh! The othe night we were at the movies and his phone rang (ofcourse it was business). Do you know this fool answered the call in the middle of the show!?! WOW! =( So, we've been having huge blowouts about this and I've decided to backoff... I think me being at his house all the time too has made him a little comfy with the situation. He probably feels like coming in after work and finally watching tv with me for and hour and a half is good "quality time". Uum, NO!! Like I said, I'm backing off. He needs to show me that he too wants to be here and help guide us in a positive direction. We talked about things this past Sunday but yet he didn't call me ALL day yesterday, hmm? It hurt that he didnt pick up the phone but I guess he really wants some space. I'm so confused. He's definately one of those "Hot & Cold" types...what do you think? When responding to this don't be an asswhole, cause I've read comments that people leave that are totally uncalled for and I have a smart mouth myself so...please don't even go there unless your gonna give good advice, thanks! =) Thanks guys for your response. Oh, and for those of you who don't know trippin means... "acting up" or "not acting right",lmao! So, should I call him or should I just let him call me. Especially after him NOT calling me all day yesterday?
What should I say to my parents about my problem? Tomorrow, I'm going to ask my parents if I can hang out w/ one of my friends this weekend. Problem is, he's a guy, and they don't want me alone w/ a guy. Earlier this summer, I asked if I can go w/ 2 guy friends to the movies, and drama happened, and I really don't want to go through it again, but I can't take it! I'm 16, I don't go anywhere, I stay in the house every single day, I see my parent's faces everyday, I only go out when my parents have to go somewhere, or I have be somewhere, and I don't have a job cause it's really hard to get a job. Staying in my house is really getting to me. I want freedom! I want to see my best friend! But they won't let me cause they don't know him, and they have to know all my friends. I'm to the age where I want to make choices for myself, do whatever I want, be able to be responsible w/out my parents guiding me through the way, being able to not get criticism every time I drive, which i'm getting my license in a week, but I can't be left alone cause they don't trust me out on the road yet, and to me, i'm a good driver, it's when they yell at me, it affects my driving when they yell at one little thing. Seeing my parents faces and always have to ask permission to do something is really getting to me! I'm about to go nuts! What should I tell my parents tomorrow about hanging w/ my best friend this weekend? People, my parents decision wants to meet them and i'm fine w/ it, but they changed their minds soo fast and decided not to meet them, it's not my fault. It's their decision
Tell me what you think of this? I wrote it when i was bored...based on personal experiences. Tell me what you think, I don't think its that good. I'm in middle school. Warmth. That’s the first thing I remember about him. It’s as if the entire season of summer is captured in one set of memories, all involving a person. I don’t remember a cold day with him, except the last one. No relationship can be that perfect, except in the movies. I guess I was to preoccupied with him to make much note of the weather. I remember rain, but it was the soft, warm, loving kind. I remember biking through the streets, perched on his rickety bike rack and never having a better ride. The gorgeous rain soaking my hair, making the bangs slide in my eyes. I remember gliding on emotion, the wheels of his bike seeming to turn on happiness. The sky was grey, a soft, welcoming, cuddly grey, sending little rain drops down to me as kisses. Sunny days were beautiful. Thousands of iridescent dragonflies on our little boat, perfect water stretching in every direction. Lying on the green hill, my blond hair fanning away from my face, onto the grass. The rocky shore, holding onto him for dear life as I ventured farther into the cool water and screaming as he splashed me. I remember the tremor of the lochs, as they began to open, and the sensation that the world was opening up and swallowing you. He held my hand as the bridge opened farther, thousands of gallons of water flowing below us, the roar of it closing out all senses but the feel of him holding onto me, reaching me, guiding me. I remember the way he looked at me when I swam, gliding through the perfect pond, every nerve in my body awake to the feeling of the water sliding over and around me, like swimming in satin. His face looked like he could go the rest of his life looking at nothing but me. I remember the way he would look at me, when I curled up by the window in my pajama pants with a cup of tea to watch the sun rise. I remember the way he would talk to me with his friends, even though I knew he would rather die than say I love you in front of them. I remember the way he would hold me, so gently, as if I would break if he held too tight. I remember jumping with him, holding hands, through the last rays of the sun, trying to grasp them, hold them here, trying to keep summer here, pretending like I wouldn’t eventually have to go back. I remember hitting the water together, it closing over my head, and it being so final. This was the last time I would see him. I remember hugging him tight, sitting in the boat wet as a dog, water dripping out of my hair and clothes. It’s weird, but I’ve never thought of this as lake water. To me, it’s always been tears. I wonder how long it will be, before I am not allowed to love someone like that.

You Know You're a Drunkard When; (Part 1 of 3)? I spent most of my life drunk, trying to get a drink or doing time for stuff that happened when drunk. That was then; I haven't had a drink, or anything else, since 12/5/95! The drink is a metaphor for all the other stuff I did in my misspent youth, middle age, etc.! I DON'T DRINK NO MORE By WILLY 11/24/04 9:30 p.m. G-Harp, Key of D, Slow Shuffle I started drinking as a child Uncles gin and Camels was my style I slept it off then; was too young to go wild! I drank to get incoherent The older I got wilder I went I'd go to a bar with money leave without a cent! (Spoken: And wonder who left the dents? In my car, head, etc.?) (Chorus) To me I'll just have one drink today Is like sayin, I'll only stick it in half way! When I start drinkin ain't no way to stop Which is how I got to know a few cops! I got tired of being on the outside of open doors And being wounded though I never been to war All of this and more is why I don't drink no more! I now know that I can't take even one sip Some say you can't teach a dog new tricks I'll bet ya the dog never woke up with a fat lip! (Spoken: And not able to remember who or why it's there!) (Chorus) To me I'll just have one drink today Is like sayin, I'll only stick it in half way! When I start drinkin ain't no way to stop Which is how I got to know a few cops! At a bar I'd tell the tender; shut up and pour I need a drink to relax just makes me snore I drank to get drunk; but I don't drink no more!!!... @2004 Willy Senkiwsky "The Blues are the roots, and the other music is the fruits." One of Willie Dixon's favorite sayings, from I Am the Blues by Willie Dixon with Don Snowden (DaCapo, 1989) "Life is like music, it must be composed by ear, feeling and instinct, not by rule. Nevertheless one had better know the rules, for they sometimes guide in doubtful cases, though not often." --Samuel Butler (1612-80), English poet, Author' "Simple music is the hardest music to play and blues is simple music." --Albert Collins Willys cynical thought for the day; Everybody keeps saying that women are smarter than men, but did you ever see a man wearing a shirt that buttons down the freaking back? You Know You're a Drunkard When; If a party runs out of booze, you sock the host and drink his nosebleed. Your wife asks you to pick up a canned ham, and you show up with a case of Hamm's in cans. Interventions have become so frequent that you just leave the folding chairs set up in your living room. The arresting officer tells you that you have the right to remain silent and you waive that right so you can finish singing Enter Sandman. You know how to say "Where are my pants?" in seven languages. You have a lot of respect for that 80-year-old guy at the end of the bar, but you know from experience that he's a dirty fighter. You go on week-long benders just so you'll have a cool story to tell at your AA meetings. You got in a fist fight with a wino over how long a bottle of Thunderbird should be allowed to "breathe". You're willing to go on the wagon, so long as it's heading for a bar. You got pissed off when you forgot whatever you were drinking to forget. You have so much alcohol in your system that your cabbie has to be HazMat certified. If a wino jumped off a building, you'd bravely leap forward to break the fall of his bottle. You install shag carpet because it's easier to hang on to. Embalming fluid would be an improvement. Your last Breathalyzer reading was "No Fucking Way." Distilleries fight over the billboard nearest to your place of residence. The state has installed a Breathalyzer interlock device on your shoes. You drew up a living will that states very clearly that you do not want the booze tube removed under any circumstances. Your friends often substitute "Good night" with "Hey, you can't sleep here." When you donate blood they store it in oak barrels. You openly commit crimes just to learn new pruno recipes. Your name is police code for Public Intoxication. You're fairly sure a letter to Dear Abby signed "Want to Leave the Bum, But Can't" was written by your liver. Your favorite drinking game is Do a Shot Every Time You Do a Shot. Your idea of a seven-course meal is a six-pack and a pizza. TV beer ads have started addressing you by name. Someone offers you palm wine and you think they're out of glassware. You brush your teeth with bourbon. It hasn't helped cut down on cavities, but who cares? When a panhandler asks, "Can you give me a quarter for some beer?" you reply, "Okay, but I want to taste it first." You know heavy drinking makes you smarter because you can never remember doing anything stupid while blacked out. You have a split personality-every time you meet someone with booze you want to split it with them. You were so drunk at the office Xmas party that you kissed your own wife. You've never been to Afghanistan or Pakistan, but you're a frequent visitor to Imtoodrunktostan. You become sexually aroused by the tapping of a keg. You know you can use Jagermeister as cough syrup. And visa versa. Your 86s are passed down to your grandchildren. You have a sweet tooth for alcohol-in fact, your whole mouth likes it. You spill so much booze at home your dog slurs his barks. Your credit history is composed entirely of bar tabs. When you get a cold you get a bottle of whiskey, do shots, and it's gone - not the cold, the whiskey. You're always shaking hands, even when there's no one else around. Whenever you bend your elbow your mouth snaps open. When your boss asks you to work overtime you demand time and a fifth. You get held up almost every time you go home - in fact it's the only way you can get home. You'd be happy to go on the wagon if you could find one with a bar. Your favorite bar is four blocks away - six blocks coming back. When you order a hound for the rouse. The Red Cross uses your blood to sterilize their instruments. You're half scotch, and your ancestors aren't from Scotland. You know how to handle your liquor - with both hands. You hate the very sight of liquor, which is why you hide it in your stomach. You can tell what bar you're in by the bottoms of their tables. A liter of scotch isn't enough to invite a friend over for a drink. Your first science fair project was a still. You know most of the people in a bar and can't remember one of their names. Anyone who kisses you must legally wait half an hour to drive. They have to mix your blood with tonic water before giving it to anyone. You've filed assault charges against a coffee table. When you're out in the street, you are literally "out" in the street. You think of drinking beer as "sobering up," You can say "Whiskey, please" in 34 languages, but can't understand "Last call" in English. Your liver takes sides against you during an intervention. You know better than going near an open flame while you're bleeding. Your bed looks a helluva lot like a park bench, and your bedroom looks a helluva lot like a park. You need a blood transfusion to legally enter a dry county. Your flask is spring-loaded. You judge cologne by its bouquet and finish. Your liver is in the Federal Witness Protection Program. You enjoy cooking with wine, and sometimes you even put it in the food. You've only been drunk once in your life, and so far it's lasted twenty-three years. You liver has a restraining order on you. You can tell the difference between a bottle of Jack and a bottle of Jim by the sound they make hitting the back of your head. Alcoholism doesn't run in your family-it takes its own sweet time. You've been cut off during communion. You wonder why they call it Southern Comfort when they know damn well there is nothing comfortable about being handcuffed in the back of a squad car. Growing-up means buying better booze, getting older means getting used to the cheap stuff again. You miss the old days when you were younger than the cop that finds you sleeping in a dumpster. You were excited about the Olsen twins turning "legal" until you realized they still aren't old enough to buy you a drink. You resent it when people call you a raving alcoholic, because you've never been to a rave in your life. You keep a bottle of liquor next to your bed so you can have breakfast in bed when you wake up. You consider anything less than 80 proof a chaser. You've eaten 87 packets of honey mustard because on the label it lists "white wine" as an ingredient. You have convinced yourself that you're not drinking alone so long as your friends Jack, Jim and Johnnie are over. Your wardrobe is divided into Summer, Winter and Things You Woke Up Wearing. The third category includes a number of thongs. Your BAC is measured in proof. You measure time by drinks, as in: "Hold on a shot, the movie doesn't start for another four bourbons." To you "Last call!" sounds just like "Please don't leave! We love you and you're charming wit!" You don't use cologne or aftershave because you have a moral objection to alcohol going anywhere but down your throat. You'd exercise more but when you sweat it smells like booze and that makes you thirsty. You always finish your drinks because there are sober people in China. When you come home to find your house burglarized the first thing you check is your liquor cabinet. You'll join A.A. when they start serving cocktails at the meetings. Your ATM is a Dumpster full of recyclable cans. You'll sleep through a train wreck, yet spring awake to the sound of a bottle top turning. You can order a beer in 17 different languages but don't know how to pronounce "Perrier." When a cop asks, "Have we been drinking?" you reply, "Do you really think I'd drink with the likes of you?" You freak out when you wake up in your own bed. You'd have passed the sobriety test if you hadn't mistaken the Breathalyzer for a bugle. Your waking thought is, "Wow, look at all the gum stuck to the bottom of the table." You got in trouble at work because your standard greeting is, "Hey, let's do a shot!" You cursed the St. Bernard who rescued you because he had the nerve to bring only one lousy liter of brandy. You can hear someone whisper "free beer" from three blocks away. You consider a bottle of cheap whiskey and two shot glasses a very romantic gift. You hate it when men give you flowers because, hey-you can't drink flowers. You dream of the beautiful day when all races, religions, creeds and colors finally get it together and pitch in to buy you a case of decent scotch. You show up to brewery tours wearing fins and a snorkel. You tell your friends your dog's name is "Time for a Beer Run" but you call him "Hurry Up." The tooth fairy left you shots of Rumpleminze. You've convinced yourself your liver isn't distended-it's pregnant. With a new liver. You play the same song 20 times in a row at top volume at three in the morning and are certain the neighbors don't mind because, you know, it's such a kick-ass song. You think the porcelain hat looks good on you. Your idea of karaoke is falling off the stage while yelling "Rock and roll!" into the microphone. Your house is four times farther from the bar on the way back. Your alarm clock is synchronized with the nearest liquor store's opening time. You have threatened to murder and marry the same person in the span of a single happy hour. You are the answer to the question, "What kind of idiot pukes in a bidet?" While in the drunk tank your friends tried to sneak you a fifth of Beam in a cake. You're personal trainer is a bartender. You've known Jack Daniels so long you refer to him as John. You watch Behind the Music and think "That's really not that much alcohol." The bartender is in the weeds and you're the only person in the bar. You refuse to play Golden Tee because there is no beer cart girl. Think box wine is great; eagerly awaiting box whiskey. You get cut off in absentia. You won't rent an apartment that doesn't have a bar and liquor store within two blocks. You're favorite cocktail is one quarter vodka, one quarter vodka, one half vodka and topped up with vodka. You get angry when guys who can't hold their liquor keep stepping on your fingers. You get nervous when there are only three bottles of liquor left in your house. You forget how pants work. http://www.total-knowledge.com/~willyblues/ From; WILLYS JOKES 1/22/06 You Know You're a Drunkard When; The question, for the idiots wondering, is how to get into a chicks panties!

Are you a person who has the Joy of the Lord, and willing to to speak up for the truth? "The joy of the Lord is our strength." the Bible the Messiah said if you suffer with me you will reign with me. If they hated me they will hate you, but be of good courage, for so persecuted they the prophets that were before you, jump for joy for great is your reward in heaven. Luke in the gospels The Prophet Before The Storm - Part I An Interview With a Jew that came to the Messiah Nathanael And A Profile In Courage With An After-Word Conclusion By Michael James "Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city .... [And to the Jews who rejected his messiahship, said Jesus] You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies." Each generation gives rise to men and women of unique courage and insight. More often than not, they are pilloried, ridiculed and sidelined as eccentrics or worse. Some of them suffer terribly at the hands of those they seek to help, and almost all of them die in poverty and obscurity, only to be remembered with veneration by future generations as prophets whose warnings and remonstrations fell on deaf ears. We live in a world crowded by occultist soothsayers, New Age gurus, esoteric magicians, deceitful politicians, putative Antichrists and establishment "holy men" claiming to have the ear of God. While Madonna flirts with Kabbalism rejection of the Messiah for its spirit guides, as people scour Talmud for hidden revelations like that Jesus was an illigitimate son, movie stars sell their souls to Scientology, as millions of Europeans sink into the abyss of God-hating humanism, one can be forgiven for thinking we are living at the End of the Age. He is the Watchman on the tower who warns of dangers to come, and yet the revellers in the courtyard mock him, for their ears are closed to the truth. He wanders the streets and takes each to task, yet in turn he is rewarded with abuse, physical assault, wicked and vicious insults, and false charges brought against him by those who rule from the latter day in unbelief. . Penniless and despised by unbelievers, he arises each day with an empty belly but filled with the strength of God to sustain him; and once again he takes his message to those who are wealthy in hubris but poor at heart: Jews who remain trapped in the belief against the Messiah? That man is Brother Nathanael. Mike: How did your family and friends react when you renounced the beliefs against the messiah and embraced the Messiah? Br. Nathanael: My mother had a fit. First of all our rabbi told my mother I certainly must now have deep psychological problems, not "religious" problems, and should be addressed as such. After a few failed counselling sessions that my mother dragged me to, she finally realized that this was a "religious" problem. So my mother and father took me to see some rabbis and my dad kept saying, "Our son knows the Bible better than the rabbis!" Finally, my mother gave up the battle but not without continually nagging me and trying to make me feel guilty for "abandoning our people". I kept on telling my mother through the year about Jesus being the Jewish Messiah, and one year before she died, 33 years later after I became a Christian, she came to faith in the Messiah. Mike: Many people are aware that Jews against the Messiah in America are working assiduously to destroy the efforts of those that believe in the Messiah, but few are resisting the onslaught. How is your message treated in the streets? Br. Nathanael: I went to the headquarters of the ACLU in Wall Street three times last summer. I had a huge sign that I was holding which read, "ACLU JEWS ARE ANTI-CHRIST!" The people of Wall Street were in an absolute state of shock. The ACLU, (which by the way advocates for "free speech"), called the police on my eighth appearance. The eighth police division must have been paid off - for they physically escorted me eight blocks away. But I came right back when I saw them going into a coffee shop. Each time I was there in Wall Street, I was physically assaulted by Jews. And each time the police, (who are all over the place in Wall Street because of 9-11), took the side of the Jews. One Jewish man, very well dressed in a London Fog overcoat, threw a large cup of hot coffee all over me and my pristine white robe. The police came at me with their machine guns (all over the place in Wall Street), and while pinning me against the wall and screaming at me, the Jewish man who threw the coffee on me just stood there with a big smile on his face. Mike: Christianity is perhaps the last bulwark between freedom LOL this is long but i did want it to get there for those willing to hear we read a bible, i read it 11 times, its long but its worth it. Mike: Believers in the Messiah are perhaps the last bulwark between freedom and the New World Order. Why are so few people prepared to fight for Christ? Br. Nathanael: Because they had no one calling them into battle. Aren't you entitling this interview, "The Prophet Before The Storm"? I am now calling Christians into battle. And guess what? Many, yes many, are responding! Mike: What kind of a New World Order are the Jews trying to achieve? Will we all be forced to live under Noahide laws? Br. Nathanael: The New World Order that the Jews are trying to achieve is first a "multicultural" society, which translates into "many religions and beliefs". Thus, the JEWISH AND GENTILE BELIVERS that the West once was is destroyed. Jews who reject the Messiah fear believers in the Messiah in society more than any other thing. WhY? ANSWER #1 YOU as an athiest have the joy of living not of death? where will you go when you die? what is your joy today? the men like Wycliff, and Huss, who translated the Bible into the common tongue were burned at the stake, as they sung joyous songs with smiles on their face as they passed on to heaven.
