How do you skip the introductory movie trailers at the beginning of a DVD?

You know when you pop a DVD into the player, you get trailers for upcoming movies. Some DVDs tell you to click a button to skip that. Absent that, is there some unknown trick to skip that and get to the main menu?

1. Well, if you have a Main Menu button or Feature Presentation button, it'll work. . .
2. Sometimes skipping chapters work, other times it doesn't. Usually if you hit Menu it will take you straight there and you can skip them that way. If neither works, the only thing I know to do is fast forward.
