What do they play before or with french movie trailers?

I am adding some french movie trailers before a presentation about france for a class. I was looking to make the experience a little more authentic. They will be vintage old b&w trailers. What do they play before movies in france? Sometimes in America they will play little cartoons, to get people to buy snacks. Or sometimes commercials. 1. Most movie theaters are now multiplexes. They show only the main feature film, preceded by some movie trailers and commercials. You buy your candies and drinks from stalls before entering the theater.
