Does the Simpson's Movie look Stupid?

This movies been promoted wayyyyy to much and I'm tired of hearing about it. Every channel on TV is advertising it.The Simpsons have gone way down hill during the past five years and I really don't think its that funny of a show anymore. The episodes from the early to mid 90s are halarious(sp?) though. Those episodes involved more realistic situations. Recent shows like Southpark and Family Guy blow it out of the water when it comes to being funny. Homer's character has changed a lot over the years which has hurt the show the most. Originally, he was just a stupid careless neglectful father which was really funny. Now he just acts retarded and the person that does his voice makes him sound really whiney. They had a marathon on tv last weekend and I didn't laugh during any of the episodes. The previews I've seen of the movie aren't funny at all.I think it will get bad reviews & bring the show closer to being cancelled, which needs to happen before the shows image is tarnished forever

1. The problem is they didn't wait for the series to end like i thought was always the intention so now because they didn't do it that way The Simpsons will not get the end it deserves and the movie will probably be beat in the first weekend by the romantic comedy No reservations.
2. I still enjoy the show but I do think that the movie is about 8 years too late.
3. well if you like it, you like it and if you dont like it then you dont like it. I personally think taht this movie is probably gonna have to be good because fox knows that this movie has to save their a$$. So hey I already have tickets and if you dont want to see it then its entirely up to you
4. I won't run to the theater to see the movie. The Simpsons is a great show, but the movie just looks like a longer version of an episode, nothing more.
5. pssht simpsons movie looks amazing, i think its gonna top titanic for most money ever made at the box office because its so hyped...not that its a better movie than titanic because its not..but ya kno its gonna make more money
6. Yeah..jus like the show is...well some are funny, but family guy is way better!!!
