Where can I get a job writing movie reviews?
I am trying to get some experience for my writing portfolio and would really like to start writing movie reviews. Does anyone know where I can write reviews in which I will be given writing credits for them? Thanks for any help!

- If you want to eventually get a job as a movie reviewer I would definitely start a blog. Advertise and just try to get people to read it. With that and some sort of college degree in journalism you should be on your way.
- I would say to start off with your local newspaper, do some freelance work in the area of movie reviews and then work your way to a steady position. Or, if you attend college, try writing for the school paper. If you're still in highschool, then try writing for THAT school paper.
- There are lots of sites that you can post movie comments or reviews in a blog format but if you want to use this for your portfolio then MatchFlick.com is the best place to do that. You can create a writer account and it logs all of your reviews in a personal database so that you retain credit for your writings forever.
