Why is the recent movie that just came out, G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra, getting a lot of bad reviews? What is wrong with it?

1. because people love to complain, I did not think it sucked.
2. I watched it in the cinemas and thought it was awesome. I'm thinking maybe the story? I mean the action was really cool, but the story wasn't really that good.
3. I hate to say this but it wasnt GREAT Ive waited 14 years just about, to see this movie.. Originally it was one HUGE casting movie. Tons of charectors, tons of cast. Biggest casting call in history. Then they downsized it to become a trlogy. After seeing Rise of Cobra i cant wait to see what they do with the 2 sequels. I hope it keeps geting bigger and bigger.
4. I believe its because the movie stands for nothing that was in the cartoon.
5. Well it doesn't help that Channing Tatum is quite possibly the worst actor on the planet. His "acting" feels like a script being read by somebody who is just learning how to read, let alone act. Other than that, I thought it was a pretty decent escaptist-genre flick.
6. It is boring, the movie is full of over-the-top CGI effects that don't help the film, it's just there to make the film look appealing to 10 year olds. The movie had lame humor, the plot was weak, the performances weren't the greatest. The movie just wasn't very good, the bad reviews that i read were spot on, some were a bit too harsh, but most were just saying that CGI can't be a movie on it's own...it has to come with story and acting.
