What are your thoughts on these two movies (one recent, one no-so recent)...?

500 Days of Summer & Cold Mountain 500 Days has caught my attention, especially after Critic's reviews. It seems like just a good, happy movie to go see. What are your thoughts on this movie? Cold Mountain has secretly and surprisingly been one of my favorites. It's a great dramatic tale, and I would like to get other opinions on this movie. Thanks.

1. I liked both of them, although the harshenss of 'Cold Mountain' got a bit much for me
