Why don't the New York Times movie reviews have the dictionary feature enabled?

This has confused me since nytimes.com introduced a dictionary feature embedded in their online articles. For most articles, when you come across a word that you don't know, you can double click it and a dictionary will pop up. However, for their movie reviews - and to me, the articles that could use it the most (try reading an A.O. Scott or Dargis review without consulting a dictionary!) - this feature is disabled! What gives New York Times?
