Is it useless and pointless to write movie reviews of latest dvd releases?

I know latest movies in theatres are ought to be reviewed better.. :|

1. No it's not useless at all. Movie reviews that include the reviews of extra features, video and sound quality can be very helpful. It can let people know whether to shell out ten more bucks for a special edition, or just get a single edition.
