How do would I properly begin writing movie reviews?
I love a good film, going to see them at the theatere and picking one out from my extensive at home. I would really like to start a blog, or website where I review the movies. I was wondering if anyone could help with the basics of getting started(not web design, about reviewing the movie) and if there are any guidlines ... to help. Thanks! :)

- Watch the movie first.
- If you want to get started as a professional try asking your local paper if they will accept your free review of movies.
- the basics would be the storyline, acting, special effects if any, location and how it flows. just say what you feel really. jot things down as you watch it, but be honest, if its crap its crap dont say otherwise just cause it has a cute guy/lass in it
- First learn how to begin a sentence, lol, JK. Open a yahoo360 page and start a blog there on all the movies youve seen. Your friends can view it and you can invite people to view it.
- You might want to check out the Writers & Artists handbook. I think your local library should have it. first check it before buying it as I'm not 100% certain they have the info you need.(please see link). I don't know when the 2007 version is out. Also, read what other famous critics write (eg. check out radio times.com,guardian etc or other places online)to get an idea for style of writing, but don't lose your own unique style! wish u success meery xmas & happy new year
- Read lots of magazines like Empire, DVD review, and learn how to structure sentences grammatically. I certainly wouldn't trust a review from a 'journalist' who can't write.
