Are you going to see Oliver Stone's upcoming movie about Bush?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W_%282009_film%29 Oliver Stone is currently filming a movie about Bush which he intends to release in time for either the Election or the Inauguration. He has released the following statement about his plans for the movie: "I want a fair, true portrait of the man. How did Bush go from an alcoholic bum to the most powerful figure in the world? It's like Frank Capra territory on one hand, but I'll also cover the demons in his private life, his bouts with his dad and his conversion to Christianity, which explains a lot of where he is coming from. It includes his belief that God personally chose him to be president of the United States, and his coming into his own with the stunning, preemptive attack on Iraq. It will contain surprises for Bush supporters and his detractors."

Public Comments

  1. Only if the movie is like Nixon.
  2. Coming out right around the election? I'll just wait a couple of weeks until Thanksgiving, when it'll be available for sale on DVD in the 99ยข overstock closeout bin at the supermarket. In this day and age of $3.79/gallon gasoline, I see no sense in paying good money for a movie about our contry's crappiest President ever.
  3. Mmm hmm! Stone's a pretty good director and I definitely wanna see an expose on the corrupt Bush regime
  4. I don't watch anything that revisionist historian so called film maker produces.
  5. Sure. The Reagan monkey movies were popular, too, you know.
